A busy looking painting

Jagannath temple at Puri
A friend once commented that none of my paintings look busy. I asked him what did he mean. He explained that none of my paintings were activity oriented. He liked paintings with lot of activity happening in them, which told a story very clearly. This painting was the result of that.
The place painted is the main entrance of Jagannath temple at Puri. It is called the 'Singha dwar' meaning the entrance guarded by lions. This place is always buzzing with devotees, tourists, locals, priests etc etc etc. My friend liked it. I hope you do.

Are you seriously looking at it as an alternate profession or something? But anyway, nice painting man. Let the colors flow :)

Bravo! Your painting of Jaganath puri is massive in every respect! What’s most exciting is how vividly you’ve captured and exemplified movement, ingrained in its subject. Each character seems to be suspended in a world of its own, yet they all converge to the given milieu in macrocosm. Great work!!!
