Goa Series IV - Miramar

Quiet Corner at Miramar behind Kala Academy - watercolor
This place is just behind Kala Academy on Miramar beach at Panjim, the capital of Goa. The beach was boring, but this view was good.

I liked the fluidity in the painting Prabal,
2 things I want to point out
[1] The shadows on the light house somehow don't suggest a cylindrical structure in the lower half.
[2] The size of the light house suggests far distance. At the same time the surf near the shore runs almost till the light-house and makes the structure appear closer..

NICe painting.
The bottom clouds in grey color are looking little odd to me.

A great composition Prabal and that light on the water is just perfect! I can also see pc's point about the lighthouse - interesting!

Thanks everyone...
1. The bottom part of the lighthouse is an unhappy accident I guess. I had not noticed it. Thanks for pointing out.
2. The point about proximity of the lighthouse - The lighthouse is actually smaller and the surf was actually that long. The problem is that the drawing of the shore line has gone wrong. Near the lighthouse it looks raised, while at the bottom of the painting it looks flat. So the sense of distance has got destroyed due to inconsistency.

Architectural paintings are tough nuts to crack! But I like this one in totality...

I'm not good at symmetry myself , but you have painted the water beautifully Prabal!
A very peaceful scene.
