Shopping for lunch

In villages and small towns in India life is not so fast paced as it is here in Bangalore. People generally like to buy fresh vegetables and other ingredients for every meal. And the shopping process itself is very interesting and refreshing.

I had a lot of time when I was doing this painting. So did it at a very slow pace. That also allowed me to take some WIP pictures. Posting them too. Hope you like them.

Very nice. I like how you did those figures. Great work. The details on the buildings are lovely too.

The scene has a nice feel to it.Good details.I don't paint cityscapes because I am too lazy for all those tiny details! You have done a nice job.

Nice painting. You have handled the perspective very well and the nice little people too.

Thanks everyone.

Arti,
You are correct. Painting cityscapes (in this case villagescape ;)) takes more time as there are small details you have to add.

Beautifully composed Prabal ,and very well captured! Finely detailed again and thanks for sharing the steps involved.
What I particularly like in your paintings is your choice of mundane scenes and their transformation into something significant.
Great work!

Vinayak,
Thanks for noticing. In the original picture there was no yellow. I just introduced the warm yellow here for the contrast and of course light.

Ramesh,
Thanks a ton.

Sadia,
Thank you so much. As you said this is supposed to be a mundane scene. And choosing to paint them is a way I challenge myself. I generally add, subtract from the original scene to make it interesting in a painting.
