Painting vertical

For this painting I kept my board almost vertical on the easel and tried to paint. The idea was to see how it would be.

Well it was different, but I really cant tell how it was different quantitatively. I think that is because in case of this one it was not so different. But it did feel good.

It is wonderful, Prabal. Really shows the expansiveness of the huge trees.

Ditto what Carol said. :) I REALLY like the movement of the paint in the trees. So cool Prabal.

I really like the colors in this one! But Prabal, I m wondering how didn't you get the 'runs' till the bottom :)

Carol & Crystal,
Thanks for the encouragement. I had actually felt that I overdid the trees. :)

Karsten,

Pat,
Initially the darks on the left and right were not connected. After connecting them the painting seemed okay. So I think that is what brought it together.

Ramesh,
See the strokes that come down. Its like tentacles coming out of the big mass of darks and going into the white. As the color came down it was getting divided into those tentacles and thus reducing the probability of color running down. But still there were some runs. I was keeping a kitchen towel within my reach all the time. :)
