Floral Experiments

Title - Wild flowers

These are two experiments that I did last week. Both have the same composition, but treatment wise they are completely different. The first one is more of wet in wet and glazing etc while the second one is more of dry brush type. The second one looks a bit hazy, but it is not due to any problem in the photo. The photo is fine. Its the dry brush probably that gives it that look.

By the way I just read a art quote which says 'Art does not tolerate reason'. Completely agree.

Great, Prabal. It's always good to experiment.

Wow! This is lovely! If I had to choose a favorite I would probably choose the first because it looks more vibrant - and red just happens to be my favorite colour :0D

I saw only one on fb. Both are unique in character and better than the other. Keep experimenting in style.

Carol, S@TF,
Thanks for your encouragement guys.

Sandra,
I am glad you liked it. I was more patient on the first one. :)

Ak Sir,
Both are there on FB. Thank you for your kind comment.

Vinayak,
Thanks. That encourages me to do continue with these experiments. :)

Experiments are so fun!
I find myself more attracted to the first - but that probably says more about me than your painting - which is excellent in both. Bravo!
