Well I just could not give up so soon. My disappointment with previous attempts lasted only a couple of days and I was again excited about doing my next painting. I had taken this photo at Udaygiri caves at Bhubaneswar and the afternoon light shining through the pillars created a very 'mystic' feeling. The outcome of attempting to paint the light was satisfactory. I was thrilled all over again about water colours.

I love the treatment of colours. Especially the bleached areas. Very real. The stone colours have come out very natural
