Stories to tell.. But.....

Here I have tried to paint stories/concepts/ideas. The first one is inspired by a photo taken by a friend of mine and the second one uses the backdrop of Lingaraj temple at Bhubaneswar. The experiments were not really successful, but still I thought it is worth sharing and getting feedback.

I must say, these are beautiful paintings...The shadow of leaves are amazing and the backdrop is fantastic. I particularly feel that you should continue working on it. Well done!

I don't think you should give up on these - there is so much happening in both these paintings - each so different. Wonderful colours in the Temple one and I really like the way you've allowed the paint to do the work in the sky.

I like them both, especially the temple. The colors of the sunset are so vivid; it's very beautiful.

Both are very nice paintings Prabal!
The wall in the first painting has come out superb ; a very interesting composition.

Sahu,
The water drops were semi intentional.. Supposed to be like 'rain from the stars'.. :)

TS and Sadia thanks again for the encouragement..

I have already told you this, I liked both of them for the new style of composing.

Look good to me...the colors of the sky are very well done, Prabal.Only thing, the clouds ought to have been purple-pinkish at this hour, not brown:)Actually I loved staring at the sky during sunset and I distinctly remember the color of the clouds!

PC,
Thanks.

Arti,
You are brilliant.. The clouds should have been purple-pinkish..I just did the painting from imagination and so the goof up.. That would have made the painting look so much better..

i had to do a double take on the top one. the leaves look like it is a photograph. i love the colors in the wall and the texture. gorgeous!

So long Liana..
Thanks..Actaully I intended to give it a surreal look. But the leaves came out kind of real looking. So I was actually a little disappointed..
But anyway since you have liked it thats good and makes me happy.
