When you have photo reference , what's the purpose of value sketch. from photo you should be bale to judge values. It's good idea to do value sketch on location as light keeps changing
Excellent sketch ...the place looks a little scary, but probably with your vivid colors the whole atmosphere will change.

Actually I had not even thought that it may look scary. :) But anyway I am posting the painting now. have a look.

The photo was actually quiet flat. I just loved the place in the photo. Such things you do not get to see in India. But otherwise the photo itself did not have any interest. So I was trying to work out the values to make it interesting. And then again even if it is a photo you can keep doing studies of it. It helps..
