Hi there. The fourth of the series now. After I finished this it reminded me of a number by Pink Floyd called 'On the run'. So I named it the same.
Coming to some news from my side. I have been carrying an acute eye infection since last ten days. Its been very bad and I have not painted during this time. That also means no computers and I have been missing out on all your blogs for a while now. The infection is healing slowly and doctor says it will take minimum ten days more to be okay. I wish such an eye problem never happens to any of you out there. Anyway I'll sign off now and be back soon with better eyes.
Do take care of yourselves.
Title - On the run (Morning mood, Bangalore series IV)
Size - 20 x 30 inch
Medium - Watercolor on paper

I hope the infections subsides soon and you are able to paint soon again. The painting is lovely. You have captured the atmosphere beautifully. I especially love the lines on the dirt road and the way the electric poles disappear into the dust.
Love the painting, Prabal. And I hope you are completely healed SOON! I developed a terrible eye infection years ago. It took about 2 years to finally mend. It was excruciatingly painful, irritating, and completely aggravating. For a while, I had to have my eyes bandaged shut for several days. I empathize completely with your plight!
Sorry about your poor eyes, Prabal - I hope it's fixed soon.
As always your picture is fantastic - It's a pity we can't see it full size.
Take it easy my friend.
Je vous souhaite un prompt rétablissement... Continuez à nous enchanter avec vos merveilleuses peintures.
Gros bisous
Your paintings always radiate heat! It's so clever how you do that! I love it!
I really hope your eye problem clears up very soon :0)
Prabal, your painting level just keeps increasing. My new favorite is the plein air at Counter Culture. So glad you did the workshop. Great paintings there, too. I am sorry about your eye infection. Take care and get well fast.
I'm so sorry to hear about your eye infection..Please take care of them ..rest and we'll be here when you return!! This is a beautiful watercolor, Prabal. Love the motion on this lady as she's running!!
Sorry to hear about your eye --Hope you get well soon! This is a beautiful painting - I like how you captured the dusty road!
Thank you everyone for the wishes. My eye is much better now and it is like 95% healed. The last 5% will take some tuime, but its not causing any problems to me now. So thank you all very much for the wishes.
Vinayak,
I am glad you liked it. I am sure you would have identified with this painting more because of the dust factor. :)
Kathryn,
I am so sorry to hear that you suffered so much. My infection was nothing compared to yours. I just hope that nobody gets such a thing ever.
John,
Yes it looks more impressive in its full size in real life. Thank you for your wishes.
Martinealison,
Merci, Madame la
Sandra,
India in most parts is a hot country. :). I really wish I could go to snowy areas of the world and paint there too.
Hilda,
Thank you. By the way I had intended the figure to be that of a young boy. :)
Meera,
Thank you so much. isn't it wonderful how even dust can also be good in a painting. :)
Somehow I missed this post. Grrr. I'm so sorry that you've had an eye infection, that's awful. I have really bad vision and every time I take my glasses off I feel so panicked because I can't see, so I totally sympathize with you (although I guess not if you're feeling pain since I don't think I've ever had an eye infection). Anyways, your painting is awesome. I really, really love the atmosphere. You are always able to create such a strong mood and a beautifully painted piece. So awesome.
10 days is a long time, Prabal.Take care of yourself. I hope you are over the illness by now. So, get back to you painting as soon as you can! :)
Crystal,
Let me cast a petronas charm on you so that you never get an eye infection. :) Anyway I am good now and finally painted yesterday. It was good to be painting again.
Arti,
A very long time actually. Thank you for your wishes. I have gotten back now. :)
