Outdoor works

I have not been painting since last two weeks and it is starting to get to me now. Firstly I was away and now when I am back there is loads of work piled up and it is getting difficult to manage some painting time. Till I paint my next piece I thought I'll post some of the plein air works I have done recently. Hope you enjoy them.

Work in progress

Title - Work in progress
Size - 14 x 21 inch
Medium - Watercolor on paper

I really could not decide what these guys were doing. But assumed that they may be doing some work unlike me. So I decided to call this one 'Work in progress'. This is a completed work in progress. LOL. Have a great weekend friends.

Someday, somewhere, we'll be together. :)

This is the park around Ranganthittu bird sanctaury. My last post also is the same place. My next post will also probably be a painting of the same place.

Gulmohar walk

Bangalore is the home to one of the best botanical gardens of India in the form of Lalbagh. This is a scene of very early morning at Lalbagh where thousands come for a morning walk or jog or simply just to catch up. I was not so happy with this painting, but my sister liked it a lot.

More sketches

Still continuing with my quick sketching exercises. All these paintings are done on 1/8th imperial size paper. The first two are on Montval and the last on Guarro. I am finding that Montval gives a good fluidity to the paintings if you just get things right in the first wash.

This is a sketch done from a picture from the Internet.

Morning Chat Morning chat
This was done at Cubbon park in Bangalore. This was my second plein air outing. I took about 20-30 mins to do this. And the group of friends who are seen here were chatting there almost till the completion of this sketch. Must thank them for their involuntary cooperation. :)

Karnataka High Court
This too was done in Cubbon park. This is more of a painting than a sketch. This place is bang opposite to the place shown in the second sketch.
