Tractor, the final
I thought I was done with the tractor series till I came across this photo taken by a artist friend of mine a few days back. It was an abandoned tractors, but not very old. I was immediately drawn to it and thus tractor the VIth was born.
I really wanted to just have fun with this. By the time I finished this my floor was filled with color, but I loved the outcome. Hope you like it too.

Tractor - V
So this is a kind of culmination of all the paintings in the tractor series till now. This does tend to be a little misty than hazy, but still it does capture the mood well enough I think. By the way I changed the placement of the big tree as I thought it brings better balance and more focus on the focal point.
Starting from tomorrow I'll be attending a figure drawing workshop by Prosenjit Roy and I am really looking fwd to it. I'll share my experiences of the workshop in the next post. So do stay tuned.
The news on my back is that its quiet good now. I am able to do my day to day activities. Hoping to do my first outdoor painting session of the year soon.
Take care guys and happy painting.

Tractor - IV
Okay for a change I like this one. :). I think I got the tired evening mood with just enough feel of haze. I know some of you may feel that the tractor has three wheels. But I can argue that the fourth one is hidden behind the dust. Not really. I realized that I have not painted the fourth wheel when I completed the painting. I was just going to paint it, when I thought that the shape there looks nice and if I paint the fourth wheel it may crowd that space. What do you think???
Have a great weekend..

Tractor - III
After painting this I had put it in my reject drawer. Today morning for some reason I opened the drawer and saw this again. And felt well its not that bad. So I took a pic of it and posting it now. As promised I am posting all the sketches I made before doing this painting.
Have a great weekend and a great week ahead.

Tractor - I
Last December when I was in Odisha it was very chilly. There was a haze in the air throughout the day. Sun rays were finding it difficult to pass through the haze. The light would be kind of a diffused light even at noon time. It was neither sunny nor misty. It was a kind of a confused mood with the mixture of two opposing characteristics of nature. My attempt in this is to catch that haze (but not mist). Its going to take some trials. And at the end only I'll know whether I was able to get that confused mood clearly on paper. So lets see how it turns out. This is the first painting in that journey. Have a great week ahead.
