This is my first full sheet painting. Have been planning to do one for a long time and finally yesterday I did this. The whole sheet was difficult to manage, but it was fun as I was able to give full full length brush strokes.

Last rites
Another concept painting.. and this one is purely from imagination.
In India it is said that the souls of the dead do not leave this world until their last rites are performed. This painting is about the last rites being performed for some one.
I started off with only the two people and the river in the scene and suddenly a village came up in some distance with the paddy fields and the two trees also popped up to make it a complete painting.

Stories to tell.. But.....
Here I have tried to paint stories/concepts/ideas. The first one is inspired by a photo taken by a friend of mine and the second one uses the backdrop of Lingaraj temple at Bhubaneswar. The experiments were not really successful, but still I thought it is worth sharing and getting feedback.

Chitrasanthe
Chitrasanthe is an annual one day road side art market organized here in Bangalore. It happened on 31st Jan this year and I happened to have a stall over there and my stall number happened to be one :). I had taken some of my paintings there. It was a eventful day and it was great to interact with different people from different walks of life. Here are some pictures of the event.
